This past Saturday, AYS Founder and President Mark Casaburi, along with other members of the AYS management team, donated their time at the 17th Annual 4 Mile Run in collaboration with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The event took place in West Sayville, New York where the company has been headquartered since its doors opened in the late 1980's. The run featured donations from local caterers and raises money for children and adults afflicted by Cystic Fibrosis. At Your Service Staffing has been a proud sponsor of the event for years.
Each year, Casaburi and his team spend hours training and preparing for the big day. “The run in Sayville is one of the community days we do as a company that is closest to my heart. Sayville has been home for as long as I can remember. Having the opportunity to bring our team here to donate our time and sponsor the event means so much to me. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is an incredible organization doing incredible work – to be able to do this and raise money for them is why we do what we do. I can’t wait to be able to make an impact of this magnitude across all of our home cities this year,” Casaburi said.
The success of the run in Sayville has, in fact, prompted Casaburi and his team to expand the initiative to other cities where AYS is stationed, including Boston, New York City and Washington, DC.
On September 28th, the AYS team plans to participate in New York City’s Tunnel to Towers race. The upcoming 5k celebrates the life of first responder, Stephen Siller, an off duty officer who lost his life rescuing victims of the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center. Following Siller’s journey from Brooklyn to Downtown Manhattan, the team will consist of company executives, managers and even staff members who will support Siller’s family, first responders and our active military.
In addition, the AYS Boston team is sponsoring a team for September 7th’s Four Seasons Run of Hope. This event benefits the Pediatrics Cancer Care and Research at the MassGeneral Hospital for Children. The team, which will be comprised by AYS Boston staff members, will be captained by the office’s management team, as well as Casaburi and Valerie Lowe, the head of the company’s Accounting Department. The company also plans to add Baltimore and Washington, DC races to their Running With Reason series in the coming months.
Casaburi’s initiative to provide service to worthy charities proves that the company’s heart and soul revolves around giving to others, with passion and positive attitudes. AYS is committed to taking hospitality to the next level, as they prepare for an exciting season of team building and charitable participation.
If you have any upcoming community events that you feel AYS should participate in or partner with you on, please feel free to contact the company.
